Welcome

Greetings readers! I realize that readers really only applies to close friends and family at this point, but we'll see where we can take this.

The goals here are simple:
1. Give me a reason to write and put some of those six years of college and j-school to use.
2. Allow me to nerd about town regarding gear and innovations in everything that is the outdoors--camping, climbing, hiking, biking, kayaking, running and all other merrymaking happening outside.
3. Present news and advice in a clear way so maybe moms (hi Mom!) and gear junkies alike can both get their fill.
4. Have fun and get outside.
